Does your child lose focus after 10 minutes of studying?

The Pomodoro Technique breaks work into short, timed bursts. Abacus practice fits perfectly into this system.

Here’s the promise: You’ll learn how to turn study sessions into focused sprints.

🧩 Why Pomodoro Works

Short bursts match attention spans, create urgency, and prevent burnout. The break rewards focus. Abacus timed drills use the same principle.

🎯 How to Use Pomodoro for Studying

Step 1: Pick one task (abacus practice, math homework). Step 2: Set timer for 15‑25 minutes. Step 3: Work until timer rings — no interruptions. Step 4: Take a 5‑minute break (stretch, water). Step 5: Repeat. After 4 Pomodoros, take a longer break (15‑30 minutes).

💡 A Parent’s Discovery

“My son used to get distracted after 10 minutes. We switched to 15‑minute Pomodoros with 5‑minute breaks. He now does 3 cycles without complaint. The timer removes the ‘how much longer?’ question.”

You might wonder, “What if the timer goes off mid‑problem?” Finish the problem, then break. But generally, stop when timer rings.
